Woman Accused Of Stealing $310 In Merchandise At Macy's In Westchester

A woman from Carmel has been accused of stealing approximately $310 worth of merchandise from the Macy’s retail store in Yorktown, police say.

Yorktown Police responded to the Macy’s store located in Jefferson Valley Mall on Sunday, Feb. 24 around 5:30 p.m. on the report of a subject being detained for an alleged larceny.

Further investigation revealed that 59-year-old Anna Woloszyn of Carmel allegedly stole merchandise totaling $310.58, police say. Woloszyn was arrested, transported and processed at Yorktown Police Department.

Woloszyn was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, March 26.
